Qlikview BI, Gartner, Fantastic Sales Machine, Growth Pains evident

Gartner, Gartner BI, Business Intelligence, Qliktech is becoming a Global Player in BI.

The 2012 Gartner Report for Business Intelligence is out and Qliktech faired very well for the Qlikview business intelligence product. They get particular recognition for their dominant and penetrating marketing machine, Qlikview is commended for being the most geographical diverse company of the emerging BI heavyweights. Notably 68% Qliktech customers choose Qlikview because of “ease of use and intuitiveness”. The highest score in the survey this year. Read Highlights

Size Matters, Qliktech does big BI now.

Gartner 2012 respondants indicated that Qliktech is big BI now. Qlikview trials only SAP & Oracle in terms of scale of their roll outs, number of users and ambition. Qlikview is now an Enterprise BI player. Qlikview's strong functionality, scaleability and capability is appreciated by customers. Accordingly Qlikview sales continue to rise strongly.

Gartner has some cautions for Qliktech this year including price.

Qlikview Pricing was highlighted as an issue, the higher price points are being questioned by customers and challenged by new players.
Leading Alternative to Qlikview BI

Qlikview has the least loyal users in BI

Worryingly Gartner highlights that Qlikview customers are now the least loyal in the Industry. Some Qlikview sites are reducing not increasing the number of users or worse still abandoning Qlikview in favour of another product. That will be the most worrying element of the Qliktech review to the Qlikview fraternity.

Gartner highlights competition from Microsoft and MicroStrategy in SQL Server Power Point/Power View and Visual Insight respectively are limiting new opportunities. Further criticism concentrates on the lack of an enterprise semantic layer citing extra cost and effort to Qlikview customers who need to address these issues and overuse of scripting.
