The Challenge
Eurobase Ltd. implemented Alliance MFG in 2001 to enable them to effectively manage their complex Material Requirements Planning and on-time delivery requirements. "It is critical for us to be accurate about when to order raw materials and confident about meeting our client's product delivery requirements," said Julie Colclough, founder and managing director of Eurobase Ltd.

Eurobase has over 200 suppliers across Europe, Asia and the Far East supplying them with raw materials across a diverse range of industries.
By managing their MRP information, Alliance enables Eurobase to manage the lead times for raw materials. In turn this allows them to manage their stock levels and deliver on-time to their clients. "In the electronics industry, lead times are constantly changing. The lead time on a part this week could be completely different to the lead time on the same part next month. Alliance helps us to successfully commit to on-time delivery by enabling us to manage these ever-changing part lead times," said Julie Colclough, Eurobase Ltd.
Alliance allows Eurobase to deal with a large and diverse range of clients with a diverse range of products. "We couldn't deal with 200 suppliers and all of the components required for our client's products without the Alliance system," said Julie Colclough, Eurobase Ltd.
Eurobase continue to get on-going support from MXI Software. "MXI understand that our business is constantly changing. The system has been successfully enhanced over the last 8 years by MXI to meet the challenges of our evolving business processes," said Julie Colclough, Eurobase Ltd.planning, shop floor data capture and the integration of our accounts.
Results
MRP, Stock and On-Time Delivery
"Alliance MFG allows us to accurately record and process the lead times for all of our components. As a consequence, this feature of the Alliance system has resulted in a 43% reduction in our stock held" said Julie Colclough, Eurobase Ltd.
Eurobase also effectively manages on-time delivery to the customer. "Alliance has assisted us to achieve 98% plus on-time deliveries to our clients," said Julie Colclough, Eurobase Ltd.
MIS
Eurobase need to be accurate about the information they give and the product delivery commitments they make to their clients. "Our customers depend on us and Alliance for their forecasting. Alliance gives us accurate management information which allows us to tell our clients when we are going to have all the raw materials and when we are going to deliver the product or the critical parts that allow them to meet their own orders," said Julie Colclough.
Cash
The 43% reductions achieved in stock held has had a follow on impact on available cash. "Our cash availability has improved by 19.8% since we implemented Alliance," said Julie Colclough, Eurobase Ltd.
Costs
Alliance has resulted in a reduction in Eurobase' administration costs. "We no longer need a full time employee working solely on MRP," said Julie Colclough, Eurobase Ltd.
