Rapid International implemented EFACS 11 years ago to replace a manual system supported by a Pegasus package.
Our clients overriding need was to consolidate stock control and recording, manufacturing bill of materials and contract costing with their accounting system for sales, purchase and general ledgers. "We needed to reduce the number of people involved in administration," said Brian Compton, financial controller, Rapid International.

Our client now has prompt costing information, simplified processing of sales and purchase ledgers, better management information regarding product costs, overhead costs and stock levels. "By integrating all of our data onto EFACS we have reduced our administration staff from four people to two part-time people," Brian Compton, financial controller, Rapid International.
"Cash flow projection and management accounting have been greatly assisted by the implementation of EFACS. We have all our debtor and creditor information on one system, so controlling the inflow and outflow of cash has been greatly improved. We also have multi-currency accounting which allows us to easily trade in US Dollars, Sterling and Euro".
Through EFACS our client can identify the profit per finished unit job, obtain up-to-date costing information and reduce labour costs. "We get very useful management information from EFACS. For example, the system will show us where it costs more in materials and labour to manufacture one pan mixer compared to another. This allows management to ask the right questions and to eliminate these cost differences," Brian Compton, financial controller, Rapid International.
"The audit trails from the system are excellent. Everything is traceable right through from the start to the finish of the manufacturing process".

The range of functionality offered by EFACS has proved to be very successful for our client and the expansion of their business.
